(coffee and cones…. Talon coat….. basketball jersey….. )
Started by designing using the pattern outlines.
Then I put it in a hoop. Next time I would stabalise on top and bottom like you do in the machine, but I’m not sure if I should stretch it first or not.
Once that was done, I did the face, with the magnet behind the mouth in a little pouch, and assembled the body.
This was the easy and short part of the build.
Chloy knight has a good leggings pattern that I have used for trousers and shorts in the past, however its for stretch materials, and is always too high up on the torso for my liking. I made several edits.
I shortened the top on both stretch and non stretch by about 5mm. I added more space in the crotch like this
I also added pockets and a fly effect using the real shorts pattern I have
I started by taking the sweater pattern, but mostly for the arm holes. I straightened it out and did a few tests to get the distance between the armholes right for non stretch materials.
I hand sewed buttonholes for every shirt. They get better as you go along.
I also made some custom covered buttons. This is also how I made the earrings. I made a gold and skull earring but the skull earring is kinda lazily executed. I don’t like it that much.
Here is the way the collar is constructed for the open collar shirts.
I don’t have any pictures of how I made the tie, but I made a U shape with wire and bent it inwards, and then wrapped a turned tube of fabric around it.
The waistcoat is made from the fairy waistcoat pattern with edits done to the curve of the arm to fix this looping.
I also used the armholes on the fairy waistcoat to make the tank top. Still not 100% with the finishing on the tanktop armholes.
I tried leather for the gloves but didn’t like the outcome. Apparently I need to thin the leather near the edges and cut notches like normal fabric. Ended up using interfaced satin instead.
The belt and gun harness are both made with painted cosplay foam.
The leanboi shirt is done with t-shirt transfer paper
